Making a payment

Secure payment for products and delivery costs is via Paypal, you can either make a Visa or Mastercard payment which Paypal will process for us, or you can pay directly from your Paypal account. If you have got a Paypal account that is connected to your bank account, then Paypal may also be able to take funds from there instead. You can opt for delivery to a different address to the card holder if you are sending a gift to someone else.

The payment pages on this site are SSL secured and your card details are not seen by anyone at the store. You will be prompted for CVC verification to complete a card purchase. The purchaser address details must match the cardholder address or payment will most likely be rejected. Paypal sometimes subjects payments to additional fraud checks which can delay receipt of payment for 12-24 hours. We do not see, let alone store, credit card details – nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties (other than the postal or courier service).

Delivery details

Please allow up to a working day for your order to be processed and the sale completed. But as a general rule, if payment is received before noon, there is a good chance the item will go out that afternoon, and for smaller packets such as most card packs and dice games, you should get it within 1-2 further days (depending on the postal system). Allow an extra day for larger parcels (over 2kg) or overseas orders which may need to travel by  courier, and also in the run-up to Christmas. If you need a game for next weekend, safest to order by Tuesday. Next day shipping is available for an additional premium, but only for items ordered before 10am.

The price displayed in the store includes shipping to mainland UK addresses, excluding Highlands and Islands. Overseas customer shipping costs will be calculated at checkout (we can only ship to UK and Europe). Almost all of the games we sell are new and factory shrink-wrapped (the product description will advise in instances where this is not the case).

The majority of parcels travel via Royal Mail – but there is no in-transit tracking available for these. Larger packages may go out via UPS or Hermes for which tracking details can be provided on request.

After delivery you may be contacted for a customer review of your purchase, you are under no obligation to provide one but it helps us if you do.

We reduce waste by recycling all the shipping cartons we receive products in from distributors, and other incoming packaging, cutting them down to size where needed, rather than shell out for expensive Amazon-style fixed-size boxes, which helps keep our prices down. We don’t offer gift wrapping but we wrap games in tissue paper and avoid plastic fillers wherever we can (although we will re-use any fillers sent to us by distributors). We also only send invoices by email and don’t include invoices in packages, in case the package is a gift, but we do include a business card so the recipient knows where the game came from, should there be any problems, or a desire for further purchases!

Problems, delayed deliveries

You must inform us within two working days if the goods arrive damaged so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company or manufacturer, and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

If your parcel has not arrived within the expected time, please check at your local sorting office, often the “while you are out” cards are not left by the postman, or may be together with junk mail and flyers. Also check your recycling bins, sheds and any other random location a parcel may have been left! After 15 days we can put in a formal search request for a missing parcel with Royal Mail. For larger parcels we should be able to track the delivery via the courier.

General terms

We are small enough to operate below the UK VAT threshhold so no VAT is due on our sales. Our products come from UK distributors so will be intended for English-language and/or UK-power-supply environments (however most games have multi-language rulebooks either included in the box or downloadable from the internet).

The standard e-commerce terms below apply to your order.  Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

Whilst your payment method or card may be debited before a sale contract is completed, if your order is rejected for any reason (e.g. out of stock), a refund will be made as soon as possible.   By clicking the ‘Place order’ button you agree to these terms and conditions and are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.  You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned (that were not faulty) should be in saleable condition.

We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Privacy and cookies

We do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment and to collect customer reviews. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site where they are strictly necessary for the site functionality. They are used to aid navigation, and to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart. If you log in to an account, your logged-in status is recorded in a temporary cookie. If you select the ‘Remember Me’ Option in the checkout, a cookie will be used to remember your details. You can turn off cookies by blocking them in your browser Privacy settings. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use them.

Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfil customer orders or subscribe to newsletter.
b. Administer and enhance the site and service.
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes.
