Potion Explosion

£37.95

Dear students, it's time for the final exams of the Potions class! The rules are always the same: Take an ingredient marble from the dispenser and watch the others fall. If you connect marbles of the same colour, they explode and you can take them, too! Complete your potions using the marbles you collect, and drink them to unleash their magical power. Remember, though, that to win the Student of the Year award, being quick won't be enough: you'll also need to brew the most valuable potions in Potion Explosion!

Description

Potion Explosion is a great “gateway game” to the board game world, in the style of popular apps “Bejeweled” or “Candy Crush“. Watch the marbles fall in the dispenser and try to make matching colours collide, to win marbles which will complete your potions.

You are taking part in the final exam at the Sorcery Academy overseen by the Headmaster Albedus Humblescore
To brew your Potions for the exam, take one Ingredient marble from the Dispenser each turn, and make Ingredients of the same colour collide to make them explode (and take them too)! The bigger the explosions, the faster you’ll brew your potions! Each Potion recipe may need between 4 and 7 Ingredients. They are represented by the holes on the Potion tiles themselves. Put the marbles of the correct colour on your Potion tiles: when all the holes have been
filled with a marble of the corresponding color, the Potion is completed. Each Potion is worth a certain number of points, which depends on the number of Ingredients needed to complete it and the strength of the magical power it grants.

When a player completes 3 Potions with the same power, or 5 Potions with 5 different powers, they receive a Skill token, which is worth 4 points. When the required number of Skill tokens have been awarded, the end
of the game is triggered. The player with the most points is the winner.

Potion Explosion is for 2-4 players, ages 14 and up, allow 45 minutes to play. Heavy box, travels by courier, allow an extra day or two for delivery.
