Codenames Duet keeps the basic elements of Codenames — give one-word clues to try to get someone to identify your agents among those on the table — but now you’re working together as a team to find all of your agents. Using the same grid of 25 word cards and a key card, which each player sees one side of, each player takes turns to give one word clues to their opponent to try and identify all the agent cards in the grid, whilst avoiding the assassin cards. If an assassin is found, the game is over! The bystander tokens add extra urgency to finding the solution, and there is a campaign mode where you can make the game a little harder by reducing the number of bystander tokens in the game. Nice co-operative variant on the original. For just two players or teams, ages 11 and up, allow 15 minutes to play.
